How Round 1 went down

Two bots, one Coinbase account, ninety days of real money. Teresa's momentum bot bought strength and cut losers fast. Omar's long-hold bot bought dips and refused to flinch. Then the market did what markets do — it turned — and the whole contest became a masterclass in surviving a downturn instead of catching a rocket.

It came down to the wire, decided by which bot bled less through one of the ugliest crypto stretches since 2022.

What we actually learned

  • The trading logic was the easy part. The real work lived in the plumbing — order precision, fee drift, and reconciling the ledger to what Coinbase actually held.
